Depression Therapy
Most people will experience depression at some point in our lives; it is a part of the human experience. Depression often emerges in response to life stressors or significant transitions, such as loss, chronic health concerns, changes in living situations, career disruptions, or the ending of meaningful relationships.

From a holistic perspective, depression is rarely the result of a single cause. While brain chemistry can play a role, emotional experiences, physical health, stress levels, relationships, environment, and life circumstances are deeply interconnected. When these systems fall out of balance, depression can take hold, affecting the mind, body, and spirit as a whole.
Symptoms of clinical depression may present (but are not limited to) as follows:
-
Persistent feelings of sadness or heaviness that linger for weeks at a time
-
Shifts in appetite, whether eating less or seeking comfort in food more than usual
-
Disrupted sleep, including difficulty falling or staying asleep, or sleeping more than usual
-
A sense of restlessness, low energy, or deep fatigue that makes daily tasks feel harder
-
Excessive feelings of guilt, shame, or emotional weight
-
A growing sense of hopelessness or diminished self-worth
-
Feeling sad or empty without a clear reason
-
Thoughts about not wanting to be here, or wondering if life would be easier if you were gone
